# Create Directory Types

Since version 3.0 Directorypress Offer seamless user experience at Backend with ajax based operations, At the end of this short tutorial you will be able to create a range of custom fields without any doubt in mind. Watch Video or follow step by step guide below

###### Step: 1

1. Browse to DirectoryPress => DirectoryTypes (fig:1.1)
2. Click Create New DirectoryType(fig:1.1)

###### Step: 2

**All fields with * are required**

1. Enter Directory Title (fig: 1.2)
2. Enter Singular Name for this directory type ( Fig: 1.2)
3. Enter plural Name for this directory type ( Fig: 1.2)

###### Step: 3

**All fields with * are required, no special character  allowed**

1. Click Slugs Tab (Fig: 1.3)
2. Enter directorytype slug  (Fig: 1.3)
3. Enter category slug for this directorytype  (Fig: 1.3)
4. Enter location slug for this directorytype  (Fig: 1.3)
5. Enter tags slug for this directorytype  (Fig: 1.3)

###### Step: 4

**All fields with * are required**

1. Click resources tab  (Fig: 1.4)
2. Assign categories to this directorytype  (Fig: 1.4)
3. Assign Locations to this directorytype  (Fig: 1.4)
4. Assign packages to this directorytype  (Fig: 1.4)
5. Click create button to complete process. (Fig: 1.4)
