# update instructions for 6.1.0

Please follow steps below for update **ClassiadsPro to version** **6.1.0**

 **Before proceed, Please make sure you have generated a complete backup.**

1. Go to **Classiads Dashboard -> Theme Settings -> import/export -> download theme settings**
2. Go to**DirectoryPress -> Settings ->****import/export -> download directorypress settings**
3. To update Theme and plugins follow instructions [here](https://help.designinvento.net/docs/classiads-5/installations/update/)
4. After installing updated theme version 6.1.0, Go to **Appearance -> Installed Plugins -> update Classiads Templates Plugin**
5. Now got to wp-admin -> plugins -> update all plugins**.**
6. Go to **Classiads Dashboard -> Theme Settings -> save setting once**.
7. Go to**DirectoryPress -> Settings -> save settings once**.
8. Make sure to clear cache after update.
